History of the school

A thrilling story begins just before the opening of our school in 2012, at heart of Paris. Henri Chemin, passionate and practicing esotericism for yearsyears, noted an urgent need: the unavailability of esoteric material from quality in France. He then decided to create an import company, thus breaking away fromwith economic interests which have put quality in the background over the years;years. It was during his multiple encounters with the French esoteric community and European, on the fringes of initiatory societies, that Henri Chemin makes a discovery disturbing. People are not only offered ineffective products, but they are also misguided, ignoring the teachings of ancient traditions.

He then took the initiative to organize conferences and workshops to convey the  real uses of esoteric tools, and thus obtain convincing results. Convinced that the success of a magical operation does not rest solely on the material, Henri Chemin made a big decision in 2013: he decided to withdraw from his company to give birth to the International Mystery School (EMI).

Then begins an exciting decade, during which our team evolves in  permanence. First present in Paris, the EMI quickly expanded to Lyon, Geneva and Brussels, offering captivating seminars on esoteric sciences. The health crisisof 2019 marks a major turning point for the school, which transforms its courses into webinars accessible to all, without borders. This is how we had the privilege of meeting and welcoming West Indian, African and Quebec communities.and many others.

Right now, as we joyfully celebrate our tenth anniversary, EMI launches its first comprehensive course, offering in-depth study and an enriching practice of different esoteric disciplines. Under the leadershipby Henri Chemin, we have compiled a treasure trove of knowledge and practices at within a one-year program, offering our students the essential keys to their personal development.

Join us now at the International Mystery School, a  adventurepassion that has driven our team for so many years. We are waiting for youimpatiently!

Henri Chemin

Born into a family passionate about spirituality, Henri Chemin quickly became interested in reading the works of figures such as Krishnamurti, Gurdjieff, Steiner...Etc. A little later, in 2008, and through meetings, he came to discover the world of initiatory circles in which he traveled for several years. Subsequently separating from some and continuing in others. From the Rose Cross to Freemasonry, including Martinism and the Elus Coëns...

Two things resulted from this, an ever-stronger interest in esotericism and occultism, and the realization that access to its mysteries required a remarkable encounter.
Following this observation, in 2013 he opened a school of esotericism in Paris, not asking his
students neither commitment nor particular beliefs. This school meets with great enthusiasm from the French esoteric landscape. It then extends to Brussels, Lyon and Geneva.

Today, it still welcomes many students and independent teachers who come to teach subjects such as Kabbalah, astrology, talismania or even cartomancy... In parallel with this journey into esotericism, Henri Chemin received training in 2009 in Traditional Korean Medicine which he then completed with training in Magnetism, hypnotherapy and Chinese Energetics which opened up to him an activity as an energetician which he still practices today.

During these years of personal studies and teaching, he acquired, as experience progressed, an obvious fact which shines through as the fundamental element of these texts and these training courses: the absolute necessity of uncertainty! When the practitioner or teacher begins to be absolutely certain of a notion, of an opinion, he moves away from the very notion of esotericism which is intended to be adogmatic and profoundly gnostic. Summarizing this in a text:

“We can easily find the law of analogy in the age-old battle of science and faith. No science can discover something outside its system without appealing to the belief in the existence of something unknown. But no faith can be sincere if the pragmatism of reason does not lead us to consider the fact that our conscience is infinitely thinner than that of the one towards whom our adoration turns. So faith can only evolve, transform itself and integrate into its perfection a deep humility and a total knowledge of its imperfectibility.

It is from this angle that he promulgates an interior initiation which accepts the wisdom of peoples, religions, movements without judgment. The true adept must, like a true scientist, open his eyes to the world and let opposing opinions, different beliefs and theories feed on each other. When the ego is born in a researcher, from occultism or from physical facts, and it is more important to him to find than to search, then he abandons the possibility of discovering what was not already discovered.

Henri Chemin therefore continues his personal research today while leading seminars and conferences with the aim of discovering more deeply but never perfectly the nature of the Divine and Man.
